Re:Post - Getting Blogs on your Kindle (or any ereader)

If you have a decent selection of blogs that you like to read it is actually easy to get them on an e-reader with calibre.  I've been using Calibre to get News Downloads for a long time now, but it never occurred to me to use it for Google Reader too.

Here's how:

First, download calibre (if you don't have it already).

Second, get a google account (if you don't have one already) and go to google reader.

Third, add your favorite blogs to google reader and using the 'manage subscriptions' menu puts the blogs into a separate folder (tip - if you put them all in their own folder it makes it a lot easier to browse in your e-reader)

Forth, open Calibre -> fetch news -> schedule new download -> search: Google Reader (don't select 'uber')

Fifth, click 'Schedule for download' setup a schedule that works for you and enter your google username and password.

Six: Save.

Done.

The only inconvenience is that right after each download you will want to open Google reader and mark them all as 'read' so that the new download cycle doesn't download the old ones.
